Riphah International University, Islamabad has been selected
to host
a Hult
Prize On Campus Program for year 2019. As Campus Director, Abdul Basit will be responsible
for organizing and implementing a quarterfinal
round of the Hult Prize competition on campus. This will include working with the academic
institution, the students, and members
of the community to spread awareness of
the United
Nation’s Challenge, and promoting
social entrepreneurship as a sustainable
means to solve it.
The competition will include
at least
15 student
teams across campus, with the winning team
advancing directly to one of
our fifteen
regional finals. Bill Clinton recently announced the challenge topic which focuses on unemployment which is "Present an idea for creating 10 k meaningful jobs for young people within a decade". The winner team at Global Finals will be awarded US $ 1 M. from college to PhD students are eligible to take part and bring change to the world.
Students of Riphah International University are really interested and they have shown a good response for becoming part of Hult Prize Riphah organizing team. Heads of organizing teams are finalized but don't worry if you want to be part of our team we have not yet stopped recruitment of volunteers. And those who want to compete in it should register with a 3-4 member team through the website which will be active within a few days. Its free of cost all you have to do is to present an idea for the challenge mentioned above. We will be having a info sessions so that students can learn what hult is ? how it works ? how they (students) have to prepare for it ?
